BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Lock Haven
University women’s soccer team (0-2) fell today (Aug.
28) to the University of Bridgeport (1-0), 1-0. The lone
goal came on a questionable penalty shot early in the
second half.
LHU
goalkeeper
Emily Wagner (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) made 5
saves in the game only giving up the penalty kick. Her
record falls to 0-2 despite her great effort in goal.
“Emily
played great in goal today,” said Lock Haven coach
Heather Kendra.
“Despite the score, I feel that we had a better effort
then yesterday. I’m excited to see how we progress for
next weeks PSAC West season opener.”
Wagner
and the rest of the Lady Eagles are back in action when
they play host to PSAC West rival California University
