LHU Women’s Soccer Announces 2005 Recruiting Class

   
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women’s soccer program and head coach Heather Kendra announced the 2005 recruiting class today (June 7). Three freshmen and two transfers make up the list of future Lady Eagles.  

The 2005 class includes players from three states as well as the sister of current Lady Eagle Kyleigh Roth (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia)

"With a large returning squad we were looking for a small but talented recruiting class,” said Kendra. “I am extremely excited about the quality of this class. Lock Haven women's soccer has strong tradition of success, our goal is to bring the PSAC Crown back to LHU.”

 

 

Amie Barcikowski  – Goalkeeper – Junior – Baltimore/CCBC-Catonsville
Amie’s a standout goalkeeper who transfers from the Community College of Baltimore County-Cantonsville where she was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I All-Region XX first team. She also helped lead her team to the NJCAA region title. At the end of the 2004 season she led all NJCAA Division I goalkeepers with a GAA of 0.212. She finished the season with 104 saves that slots her 13th in the rankings and only three goals-against which also led the nation.

Lindsey Blessing – Midfielder/Forward – Freshman – Fredericksburg, Pa./Northern Lebanon
Coach Kendra: “Lindsey is a natural leader who has strong work ethic both on the field and in the classroom. Along with playing at Northern Lebanon, Lindsey has also been a member of the Capital Area Soccer Association.”

Stephanie Fisher – Forward – Freshman – Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor
“Stephanie will come to Lock Haven after finishing successful careers with both her club team, F.C. Delco, and her high school team. She is a crafty forward who leads her league in scoring. She is currently helping her team during their run for a state title.”

Lindsey LaChance – Defense – Freshman – Bear, Del./St. Marks
“Lindsey will be finishing up her senior season at St. Mark’s High School in Delaware as they look to reestablish their dynasty of state championship titles. She is a tough defender who plays for the Kirkwood Soccer Club.”

Kami Roth – Midfielder – Sophomore – Elysburg, Pa./Wilkes University
“Kami is a crafty midfielder who transfers from Wilkes University. She is a two sport star excelling in both soccer and track & field.” Kami led the Lady Colonels last year with 12 goals and one assist as they finished 12-6-1. She was fourth in the Freedom conference in points per game and goals. She ranked second in goals per game. She was a member of the First Team All-Freedom Conference while earning Co-Rookie of the Year honors.

The Lady Eagles kick off their 2005 schedule Saturday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. as they play host to the West Chester University.
