Reekie Named Women’s Soccer GA Coach

   
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer program and head coach Heather Kendra announced the hire of Adam Reekie as graduate assistant coach today (Aug.3).

“I believe I can bring a different feel to the game due to my experience both here and in England,” Reekie said. “Coming in with coach Kendra and both being new I believe we can make a great impact on the Lock Haven women’s soccer program.”

Reekie recently graduated from Canisius College where he competed the last two seasons and was named team captain in 2004. Prior to that, the Kent, England native attended Louisburg College where he was named student athlete of year for the 2002-03 season, and was a member of the 2002 National Championship team.

“We’re excited to have someone of such caliber join the squad,” Kendra said. “His aspirations to become a professional coach will only benefit our program. Combine that with his links overseas and he’s bound to make an impact on our international recruiting.”

Kendra and Reekie begin their Lock Haven career Saturday August 27 when they play host to West Chester University at 11 a.m.
