- All computers turned in to the STSC must have their power cords with them.
- The STSC can perform software and network troubleshooting on any brand of computer.
- The STSC can only perform hardware repairs on Lenovo Thinkpads and Dell brand machines, and even then the machine must still be under warranty.
- Hardware repairs can only be done on laptops that are currently under warranty because of liability.
- The STSC can perform limited data recovery in the event of a system format or hard drive failure.
- The STSC can not transfer files from one laptop to another.
- The average repair takes 2-5 business days.
- Computers may be picked up by owners any time that a STSC worker is present.
