The Office of Academic Technology has developed minimum recommendations that should be met or exceeded for students entering for Fall 2011. The better the capability and expandability of your purchase now, the more likely your computer will be able to meet your future needs.

**The Microsoft Office suite can be purchased at the University Bookstore at a significant discount to LHU students. Other software downloads are available to LHU Students for free here (LHU domain login required).
Special Note: For those purchasing either a Macbook or Macbook Pro the operating system, MacOS X – Snow Leopard, will come with Boot Camp which makes it possible to load Windows and run Windows based software. Boot Camp requires logging off the Mac operating system and logging into the Windows operating system. Parallels is a similar software, but does not require logging off and logging on. You can run both MacOS X and Windows at the same time creating two computers in the same box. A separate purchase of Windows 7 is required.
