Summer Financial Aid Awarding Process
Students, who would like their eligibility for loans to be reviewed, must submit a Student Summer Aid Application and must be registered for a minimum of 6 credits throughout the summer session. The Financial Aid Office will begin to review those students in mid-April. Once the financial aid is determined, we will notify students via a message to their LHU e-mail accounts when their summer financial aid information is available to be viewed on myHaven.
Students must be mindful of the fact that they may have utilized all of their aid over the course of the fall and spring semesters and they may not have any aid eligibility. Because the summer sessions are not part of the standard academic year there often is no additional aid available to assist with summer costs unless the student applies for an additional loan, like a Direct Plus Loan for Parents or an Alternative Educational Loan.
To view summer financial aid award information, log into the myHaven student portal. Please note that current students do not receive paper or electronic award letters because their summer financial aid information is available via myHaven.
