The Watkins Family Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for an LHU student athlete participating in baseball. The selection will be made by the baseball coaching staff in consultation with the AD.

Heckert Family/PPG Baseball Leadership Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for an incoming student-athlete or current member of the LHU baseball program that has outstanding leadership characteristics on and off the baseball field. The leadership qualities must be vital to the core of the team, nominated at the discretion of the baseball coaching staff. Minimum GPA of 2.5 required. The selection will be made by the athletic director in consultation with the baseball coaching staff.

James J. Chester Head Baseball Coach 2015-Present Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for a Lock Haven University student athlete participating in baseball. Student must be on the varsity team. Selection will be made by the Athletic Director.

LHU Baseball Scholarship in Memory of Glenn Barrie

For a full-time sophomore or junior on the LHU Baseball team who has completed 32 credits, has at least one remaining semester and has a minimum GPA of 3.25. Must demonstrate community involvement. Recipient must send a letter of thanks to Glenn Barrie Jr. outlining his achievements in baseball and the campus community.

Rote Family Baseball Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for a sophomore or junior, participating on the LHU baseball team with financial need and excellent academic performance. Student must have completed 32 credits and have a GPA of 3.2 or above. Financial need must have an EFC between 0-10,000. Participation in community involvement with a brief paragraph if service submitted with application of scholarship. Must be a graduate of a PA high school. The selection will be made by the Athletic Director in consultation with the Head Baseball Coach and the Rote Family.

The Helen Chester Memorial Baseball Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for a Lock Haven University student participating in baseball. Student athlete must be on the varsity team. Selection will be made by the AD.

The Paul "Smokey" Stover Baseball Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for a Lock Haven University student athlete participating in baseball. Student must be on the varsity team. Selection will be made by the head baseball coach.

For a student athlete who plays men’s Basketball and makes an important contribution to the Basketball program.  Priority given to residents of Centre County.

For a female Physical Education, Recreation management, or sport administration major who plays field hockey, women's basketball or lacrosse.

To provide a scholarship for a Lock Haven University student athlete participating in men's basketball.

Cross Country

For one male and one female students on the LHU Cross Country team. Must be at least a sophomore with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and special consideration given to financial need. $1,000 for a female and $1,000 for a male.

For an LHU student athlete participating in cross country.  Preference given to a student athlete from Pennsylvania

The Spatafore Family Cross Country Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for an LHU student athlete participating in cross country. Student athlete must be on the varsity men's cross country team. Preference given to a student from Maryland. Preference given to a Communication Studies major.

To provide a scholarship for a member of the LHU Track & Field and/or Cross Country team. Student must be a member of the LHU Track & Field and/or Cross Country team. The selection will be made by the Athletic Director in conjunction with the Head T&F/XC coach.

For a female LHU student athlete from Spring Ford High School, playing either field hockey or lacrosse.  If no Spring Ford High School graduates, shall be given to an athlete playing field hockey or lacrosse.  Minimum GPA of 2.0 and contributing significantly to the LHU athletic program.  (Split between field hockey and lacrosse)

For an LHU student athlete who has a GPA of at least 2.0 and embodies the characteristics of a successful athlete. Must be eligible to play at the NCAA Division II level and contribute significantly to the LHU football program. First preference given to an individual on the offensive line. Second to any student playing football that meets the above criteria.

For an LHU student-athlete patriating in varsity football.

The Big Train Dintiman Scholarship Fund

For an LHU Football player.  Minimum GPA of 2.0 and characteristics of a successful student-athlete (preference given to a running back).

Englert/Myers Memorial Scholarship

For a graduate of Central Mountain High School who participates on the LHU Football team.  Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 throughout college enrollment and embody characteristics of a successful student athlete.

T. R. "Tommy" Tomlinson Memorial Scholarship

To provide scholarships for LHU students participating on the LHU Football team, maintaining a C+ average and demonstrating leadership and moral character.  Must be residents of PA and have documented leadership capabilities.

For a captain or two co-captains of the LHU Football team.

The Ron & Jo Ann Bowes Locker Room Scholarship

For a student-athlete on the LHU football team, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, embodying the characteristics of a successful student-athlete.

Deborah M. Bentley Scholarship

For a member of the LHU Football team, preference given to quarterbacks but may be other varsity athletes.  Minimum GPA of 2.5.

For a down lineman on the LHU Football team who has been a respectable academic performer, holds at least a 2.5 GPA, who exhibits a fierce sense of competition.

For a rising sophomore, interested in an Athletics career.  Must have good character, sports, and scholastic record in high school and at LHU.  Minimum GPA of 3.0.  Involvement in school and community activities required.

Kenneth E. Stine Memorial Scholarship

For an outstanding student-athlete entering his or her final season of intercollegiate athletic competition.  Alternates each year between male and female.  (2015/2016 for a female)

For a male or female LHU student athlete with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Recipient must demonstrate leadership and above average talent in their sport.

PSECU Student Athlete Scholarship

To provide 4 scholarships for student athletes attending LHU and participating in 1 of 4 athletic programs. The 4 programs are Wrestling, Volleyball, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball.

The Lally Family Scholarship

For a female student athlete majoring in sports studies.  Must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Selection is to be made by the Athletic Director in consultation with the Lally family.

To provide a scholarship to a student athlete that is participating on one of the varsity athletic programs at LHU. The selection will be made by the VP for University Relations.

For a qualified student in good academic standing carrying a GPA of 3.0 or higher majoring in Health and Physical Education or Sports Administration who participates in the intercollegiate Wrestling program. Must be a significant contributor to the Wrestling team.

Troy Turner Memorial Wrestling Scholarship

For an outstanding student-athlete participating in the Wrestling program who demonstrates strong commitment to the LHU Wrestling program and possesses strong character.

The Moore Family Wrestling Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for a Lock Haven University student athlete participating in wrestling. Athlete must be participating on the varsity team. Selection will be made by the Athletic Director.

Whitehill/Roman Memorial Scholarship

For a student-athlete participating in the intercollegiate Football or Wrestling program.  Alternates each year between the two sports. (2015/2016 is football student-athlete) Must be academically eligible to participate in athletics and demonstrated leadership potential in the field of athletics, academics or campus/public activities. Must demonstrate financial need.

To provide a scholarship to an upperclassman, student athlete, who is a member of the men's soccer team. Student must be a varsity player and have an academic status of sophomore, junior or senior. The selection will be made by the Athletic Director in consultation with the head men's soccer coach.

The Long Family Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to a men's soccer student-athlete who exhibits a strong presence in the classroom, in the community and on the pitch. This scholarship is for a varsity men's soccer participant that is from PA or a neighboring state and will embody the ideals of a Bald Eagle soccer player. The selection will be made by the Athletic Director in consultation with the head men's soccer coach.

The Star Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for an incoming freshman, transfer, or current LHU student-athlete, participating on the LHU men's soccer team who majors in Health and Physical Education or the Sciences, that demonstrates substantial need for financial support. The selection will be made by the athletic director in coordination with the LHU men's soccer coaching staff.

Lynne & Karl Herrmann Soccer Scholarship

For an outstanding men’s soccer player who demonstrates potential to make a significant contribution to the Men’s Soccer program with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
