Frederick Douglass Emerging Leader Scholarship

For a full-time ethnic minority student(s) who has achieved at least sophomore status, is in good academic standing, is an active participant in campus organizations and programs and has demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.

The Robert C. Lomison Scholarship

For a full-time student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who is a member of a fraternity or a sorority.  Must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills within their chapter, community or university campus. Applicants must have 3 letters of recommendation from individuals associated with a Greek letter organization, community or University.

Capstone Development Partners Student Scholarship

For 3 LHU students in good academic standing who maintain residence in Fairview Suites or another on-campus residence hall.  Recipient(s) should be an active participant in clubs, service organizations or varsity athletics; represent the quality and character that went into the construction of Fairview Suites.

Leah & Freida Fromm Scholarship

For a student demonstrating financial need and academic achievement.

Isadore Lipez Memorial Scholarship

For rising sophomore, junior or senior in good academic standing who also demonstrates financial need.

Marian Owens & Melvin R. Darrow Scholarship

For full-time students attending main campus, who are residents of Clearfield County, with documented financial need required.

The George & Genevieve K. Ross Memorial Scholarship

For Pennsylvania residents demonstrating academic performance and financial need.

 $  1,850.00

J. Ralph & Gloria R. Lovette Family Scholarship

For a resident of Clinton or Cambria County who is a Chemistry, Management Science, Political Science, Social Science, Education or Communications major.  Emphasis to be placed on leadership potential and character.

Vivienne Potter Elby Scholarship

For a full-time African-American student, who has achieved at least sophomore status, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrated financial need.  First preference to be given to graduate of Harrisburg High School, second to York High School.

Mary Hauck Stillman Leadership Scholarship

For a deserving student who demonstrates leadership in service to his/her community.  Must submit a short essay showing reasons why they qualify for the scholarship.

PennDel Scholarship

For an education or health science major originally from Pennsylvania or Delaware. Student must be actively involved in athletics, clubs, or campus organizations.  Selection will be made by agent from the PennDel Alumni Group, Director of Alumni Relations and LHU Academic Officer.

Jane E. Stahl Memorial Scholarship

For a rising sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0 that demonstrates financial need.

 $  1,250.00

Perna Family Memorial Scholarship

For a rising senior student with a minimum GPA of 3.5.  Recipient must demonstrate evidence of community service.

The President's Scholarship

For a student with a GPA of at least 3.25. Must demonstrate financial need and a student receiving another award may be included.

Daniel Pyle Memorial Scholarship

For an LHU junior or senior in good academic standing, majoring in History, with demonstrated financial need and an active participant in ROTC.

 $  1,025.00

Dr. Gerald R. Robinson and Mrs. Jean B. Robinson Memorial Award

For an academically qualified student who has had a positive impact on the LHU campus and the lives of students.  Minimum GPA of 3.0 and must have completed 64 semester hours and participated in one or more student activities such as athletics, student government or performing arts.

Pinio G. & James N. Williams Memorial Scholarship

For a rising junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.2 who demonstrates outstanding leadership skills, loyalty to LHU and great character. Preference given in a 3 year cycle starting with the first year preference given to recipient majoring in one of the College of Education disciplines. Second year recipient should be majoring in one of the Liberal Arts disciplines. Third year recipient should be majoring in one of the Natural Science disciplines.

Tri-State Area Alumni Chapter Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for and LHU student from New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania who is in good academic standing, are well rounded, and demonstrate financial need.

The Robert Mullen Family Scholarship

For a Clearfield county resident. Must be a sophomore attending Lock Haven University main campus by the succeeding semester. Financial need considered.

Angelo A. & Elizabeth L. Muro Memorial Scholarship

For full-time students based on financial need and academic merit.

Samuel & Carol Fredericks Scholarship

For rising juniors or seniors in good academic standing.

May Ireland Phi Kappa Phi Scholarship

For a full-time rising sophomore, junior or senior who is a member of Phi Kappa Phi.  Selection is made by a scholarship committee selected from faculty members of the Phi Kappa Phi.

Sigma Kappa Scholarship

For a female student in her sophomore or junior year. Must have accumulated 32 credits, have at least one more year remaining at LHU and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Consideration given to the amount and quality of participation in campus/community activities. Preference given to Social Sciences major.

Levi J. and Emma M. Ulmer Scholarship Fund

For a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing that demonstrates financial need.

Charles H. Randecker Scholarship

An annual scholarship to an academically qualified student with a disability.  Priority given to a student with demonstrated financial need and solid academic background.

 $     300.00

Stewart/Asbell Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for a full-time traditional student who is married.

 $     300.00

Sue Hall Memorial Scholarship

For a full-time female student carrying a minimum of 12 credits, who entered college at least one year after high school graduation. Priority shall be given to those who must be employed in order to be enrolled. Please include year of high school graduation and specifics of present employment on application form.

William M. Marino, Jr. Scholarship

For a Keystone Central School District graduate attaining sophomore status. Recipient must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Financial need is considered.

Ira G. & Gillian M. Masemore Scholarship

WILL ALWAYS BE $250. For a full-time rising senior, majoring in either Geology or a field of study in teacher education leading to certification.  Preference given to a minority student. Must have GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need.

Maude Brungard Memorial Fund

For a rising junior or senior in good academic standing.

Hall & Elizabeth Achenbach Memorial Fund

For research expenses and learned conference travel for students in the Social Studies area of History, Economics & Political Science, and/or students in the ROTC program at LHU.

Williamson-Botts Memorial Scholarship

For a full-time student enrolled in a major in the College of Natural, Behavioral and Health Sciences or College of Liberal Arts and Education.  Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have earned at least 48 credit hours at LHU.

Leslie & Adrienne Noelk Scholarship

For a rising sophomore in good academic standing that demonstrates financial need.

For a non-traditional (age 26 or older) student that demonstrates financial need.

LHU SAS, Inc. Student Leadership Award

To provide a scholarship for a senator or unpaid Executive Board member of the Student Cooperative Council, Inc. or has displayed exemplary service to the organization. Must have served or be serving as a senator or Executive Board member during the academic year in which the recipient is chosen.

Mildred Reiter Memorial Scholarship

To provide a scholarship to a student in good academic standing who demonstrates financial need and is not a resident of Pennsylvania.

William F. & Jane Williams Scholarship

For full-time students based on financial need and academic merit.

Russ Jameson Memorial Scholarship

For an LHU student who has made a difference as a Resident Hall Assistant or on the Residence Hall Association Board.  Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Deanna Welshans Memorial Scholarship

To provide a scholarship to assist students with a disabling condition to meet expenses beyond the ordinary costs of attending college.

Sovereign Bank Scholarship

For a student who is a Pennsylvania resident that is academically qualified with a GPA of 2.5 or above.

Mellon Bank Scholarship

For Pennsylvania residents. Recipient must be academically qualified maintaining a GPA of at least 2.5

Captain Andrew Koss LHU ROTC Memorial Scholarship

To provide a scholarship for an LHU ROTC cadet. Army Physical Fitness Score of 250 or higher. GPA of 2.5 or higher. Military Science 1 (freshman year) entering Military Science 2 (sophomore year). Must be enrolled and participating in ROTC as a full time student as defined by LHU. Scholarship will be broken into equal parts and awarded at the start of each semester to ensure the awards criteria is being maintained. Selection to be made by the current LHU ROTC cadre.

Sigma Sigma Sigma Scholarship

For a Sigma Sigma Sigma female who has accumulated 32 credits; at least one remaining semester at LHU, and a minimum GPA of 3.5.  Consideration will be given to the amount and quality of participation in campus/community activities.

The David White Arts & Science Scholarship

For a full-time LHU student who is majoring in one of the Arts & Sciences disciplines.  Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrate leadership to the campus community, and submit a resume and a one-page essay on the leadership roles in which he or she has served in the campus community.
