Competition Sports

Boxing Club:
The purpose of the Boxing Club is to foster the growth and appreciation of the sport of boxing as both a sport and recreational activity.

The LHU Cheerleaders are organized for the purpose of leading the university students and other spectators in cheers to support the athletic teams of the university.

Men’s Lacrosse:
The purpose of the Men’s Lacrosse Club is to provide players with the opportunity to competitively play lacrosse and to have fun in the process.

Men’s Rugby:
The purpose of the Men’s Rugby Club is to provide student participation in athletics that expand beyond the scope of normal American style sports.  The club’s goal is provide participants with the opportunity to expand their athletic prowess and grow physically, socially, and culturally in a team setting.

Men’s Volleyball:
The purpose of this organization is to promote physical fitness through playing volleyball, learning and teaching about advanced volleyball skills and play, and to increase the players’ knowledge of USVBA rules.

Quidditch Team:
Quidditch is a competitive sport in the “wizarding” world of the Harry Potter universe and is from the series of children's novels and movies. It is an extremely rough but very popular semi-contact sport, played by wizards and witches. Matches are played between two teams of seven players riding flying broomsticks, using four balls and six elevated ring-shaped goals, three on each side of the Quidditch pitch (field). The purpose of this organization is to bring students together to play Quidditch recreationally and competitively, and to learn more about the game of Quidditch.

Women’s Rugby:
The purpose of the Women’s Rugby Club is to promote the game of Rugby to Lock Haven University students.  Also, the club endeavors to enhance the characteristics of the team through teamwork and community service with the Lock Haven community.
