LGBTQ Supporter Logo
As part of our efforts to raise visibility for members of the LGBTQ communities, trained Allies are asked to display the logo. This logo serves two purposes. First, it is a sign that a person has gained both awareness of and knowledge about LGBTQ oppression.
Second, it is a visible sign to LGBTQ students that others on campus are at least aware of and knowledgeable about their struggles. Our logo relies on the use of the freedom rings image, first created by David Spada in 1991; the use of the rainbow colors is symbolic of our focus on LGBTQ students.
