Sometimes a graphic is not the correct file format for a web page.
These need to be GIF or JPG format.
To change file format from PICT or TIFF to JPG or GIF do the following,
Look in the Applications folder and locate the folder for Graphic Converter.
Open the folder Graphic Converter (GC).
Launch this application by selecting it and double clicking on the icon.
From the file menu of GC select open and navigate to your graphic. Open the file!
Though you can make changes in the graphic usually you will merely want to change the file format. So as the next step,
From the file menu select Save AsÉ.. Change the file name if you need to do so.
On the left side of the window, about half way down, note the format
label.
Click here and find JPEG or GIF in the list.
There are slight advantages to GIF sometimes, but JPEG files are
smaller.
Navigate to the folder where you wish to save the graphic. You can
change the file
name if needed then click save.
Note the suffix. JPEG or GIF is now appendedd to name of the
graphic.
You can now incorporate the graphic into any web page or view it
directly using a web browser.
