okay. there was a few things i couldnt find and a few things that i didnt understand in the study guide. the list is as follows. 1. what does the term the way indicate in factorial experiments? 2. when will main effects occur? 3. how can you tell if there is an interaction based on a graph? my guess for this is that the lines do not run parrelell but im not sure about it. 3. what are the disitctions you want us to remember about counterbalencing, reverse counterbalencing and partial counterbalencing? 4. is there another advantage of mixed model designs beside that the utilize the advantages of within subjects and between subjects designs? 5. is the type of information provided by the central tendency the mean median and mode or is it something else? 6. is the difference between calculating the standard deviation for a sample and a population only the difference between dividing by (n) or dividing by (n - 1)? 7. how are inferential statistics and probability related? 8. is the alpha level the same as the critical value? 9. how do you reduce the likelyhood of type two errors?......... that is all of my uncertainties for this exam. thank you. ~nathan
