This page is dedicated to....me...my beliefs, my interests, and all that other good stuff. I will be the first person to admit that my interests are broad or well-rounded. As such, the information and links on this page are varied and may seem random.

I am Christian and currently am attending Big Woods Bible Church and have also attended House of the Lord Fellowship in Lock Haven. (Well, technically, Big Woods is in Castanea, PA, but I as of yet have not really been able to figure out the difference.) I am still a member of my home church in Florida, Fort Caroline Baptist Church, and will be eternally grateful for everything they have done for my family.

I am a Florida girl...an actual born and raised native of Florida - in a state where it only takes 5 years of living there to be considered a native, I am proud of that :). I was raised in Jacksonville and spent five years in Miami as a graduate student. One of my favorite places to visit in Florida (yes, a native can still be a tourist) is Key West. The sunsets over the water are amazing.

Somehow (and I'm still not exactly sure how), I wound up in Pennsylvania - Lock Haven to be exact. Although I enjoy harassing the people here about being in "the middle of nowhere," Lock Haven is a cute little town that is fairly close to the arts of Williamsport, PA and the big college-town fun of State College, PA. Even though I dearly miss my beach, the mountains are extraordinary in their own right and almost make up for the lack of the ocean.

I absolutely love Renaissance Festivals. I hear that one of the largest ones in Pennsylvania is the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. I haven't been yet, but hopefully it lives up to its reputation. The one closest to me was the Medieval Majesty's Renaissance Festival, but it seems to have taken a hiatus. There are also several Renaissance Festivals in Florida. One of them, the Florida Renaissance Festival, became my haunt as a graduate student in Miami. One of the largest, though, is the Bay Area Renaissance Festival, affectionately known as BARF (*shrug* and what can I say to that?).

And this is where is gets random....

I have somewhat of an obsession with wolves. They pop up in my clothes, decorations, and causes.

I am a strong supporter of organ donation. Thanks to God, the National Kidney Foundation, organ transplants, and Cousin Max, my Dad is still around. (Being fond of my Dad - he is after all the only one I have - I am grateful to all of those things.) I also support the hospice model and the American Cancer Society. They both helped in the final days of Ralph Younger (also known as Pop Pop), the ACS in the form of research to understand and combat all forms of cancer and the Earl B Hadlow Hospice Center (part of the Community Hospice Network) for helping us all.

I have friends scattered across the country, thanks to my time at Stetson University and Florida International University. As we have scattered around the country, I have grown to love Travelocity and Orbitz. It is the only way we get to see each other! I'm working on getting some pictures of all of them up here - don't worry, I won't be in them :)

Because of my friends from home - the ones that haven't really scattered - I have a small knowledge role-playing games (RPGs). I am in no way, shape, or form a gamer; I have just gamed from time to time. Gamers will understand that distinction; non-gamers (including myself occasionally) really do not get it.  I just have to say "Congratulations, Kevin!" on Kindling Moon.
