The NCAA Clearinghouse is a governing body that certifies student-athletes for participation in Division I and II intercollegiate athletics programs.  This process is in addition to applying for admission to a particular university.  If you want to play soccer at Lock Haven University you must be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse, the applies to both domestic and international student-athletes.

This body will evaluate your academic course work and standardized test results.  You must meet minimum guidelines in order to be certified for competition in your first year of college.  The minimum guidelines for NCAA Division II are:

1: a minimum composite score of 820 for the math and critical reading portions of the SAT exam.  At this time the writing portion is not included

2: a minimum of a 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) average in14 core courses, as outlined:

3 years of English

2 years of Math (Algebra or higher)

2 years of natural/physical science (with lab if offered at your school

2 years of additional English, Math or Natural/Physical Science

2 years of Social Science

3 additional years of any subject listed above or Foreign Language, Nondoctrinal Religion or Philosophy
