Rocky Bonomo Head Wrestling Coach at Lock Haven University An 18-year veteran of the Lock Haven University wrestling program, Anthony "Rocky" Bonomo is in his sixth season at the helm of the Bald Eagle wrestling program after assuming the reigns in the Spring of 2002. An assistant coach with the LHU program since 1990, Bonomo is the ninth coach in school history. The 2005 Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Coach of the Year, Bonomo has played a large role in The Haven’s success for more than a decade, helping guide the team to a 175-81-3 dual meet record and three top-15 finishes at the Division I level. With his assistance, the Bald Eagles have won four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships and won their first-ever Eastern Wrestling League Tournament title during the 1997 season, and had nine individuals earn a combined 14 All-America awards. An outstanding wrestler at Bloomsburg University in his own right, he earned NCAA Division I All-America status twice. He was also a three-time EWL champion and a three-time PSAC champion. |

Mike Rogers Assistant Wrestling Coach at Lock Haven University Mike Rogers has been the assistant coach with the Bald Eagle wrestling staff for six years. A former two-time All-American grappler for LHU, he returned to his alma mater after three years as a special education teacher and the head wrestling coach at Central Mountain High School. Rogers competed at LHU (1994-97), capturing NCAA Division I All-America honors in his final two seasons after finishing sixth at 150 pounds on both occasions. He was a three-time national qualifier and the 1996 Gorrarian Award winner at the national championships, recording the most pins in the least amount of time. A two-time Eastern Wrestling League champion, he is also one of seven Bald Eagles and one of 12 wrestlers in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference to earn four conference crowns. He is among 14 former LHU grapplers to have reached the 100-wins plateau, wrapping up a standout career with a 112-28-0 ledger. |

Cael Sanderson Head Wrestling Coach at Iowa State University Olympic gold medalist and four-time undefeated NCAA champion, Cael Sanderson is known around the world as the individual who has truly gone where none have gone before. His unprecedented achievements have lifted the 28-year-old to extraordinary heights. His accomplishments have transcended his sport and made him one of the most recognized athletes on the planet. Sanderson is wrestling’s premier ambassador, living up to his marquee status on and off the mat. Through all of his triumphs, which led to an ESPY Award as the Best Male College Athlete, his appearance on a Wheaties box and being the focus of an ESPN Sports Century episode, his focus remains on wrestling. Upon completing his competitive career, he spent two years as a special assistant in the Iowa State University athletics department before joining the coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2004-05. He was elevated to assistant head coach for the 2005-06 season and later became the Cyclone’s fifth Head Coach in the history of ISU wrestling. Sanderson completed his Iowa State competitive career with a 159-0 record. Sports Illustrated called his four-year streak of perfection the No. 2 most outstanding achievement in collegiate sports history. |

Cody Sanderson Associate Head Wrestling Coach at Iowa State University Cody Sanderson, a three-time Iowa State University All-American who finished his career with 116 victories, joined his brother, Cael, as an Associate Head Coach in April 2006. Sanderson served as an administrative assistant on the ISU wrestling staff for three seasons before going to Utah Valley State College where, as head coach, he started the wrestling program from scratch. He was a two-time NCAA 133 pound championship finalist at Iowa State, finishing his career with a 116-33 record. He completed his senior year (1999-2000) with a 33-3 record and was the Big 12 133 pound champion. |

Tim Hartung Assistant Head Wrestling Coach at Iowa State University A two-time national champion and three-time All-American for Minnesota from 1996-99, Tim Hartung, currently serves at Iowa State University as the Assistant Head Coach. As a senior at Minnesota, Hartung posted an undefeated (39-0) season and became the first Gopher in 51 years to win back-to-back NCAA titles. He was named Big Ten Wrestling of the Year in 1999, and still holds the longest win streak in Minnesota history (58). Internationally, Hartung was an alternate on the 2004 US Olympic team. He was a 2002 World Team member, winning the US Open that year. Before coming to ISU, Hartung was a member of the Minnesota coaching staff for five seasons (199-2004). |

Cary Kolat Olympian and Two-Time NCAA Champion When one thinks of a natural talent in the sport of wrestling, the name Cary Kolat automatically comes to mind. Even at the high school level, where Kolat had a career record of 137-0, it was evident that he was going to be a national contender. Kolat was a four-time PIAA State Champion, four-time regional champion and four-time sectional champion. Kolat came to Lock Haven University after a two-year stint at Penn State where he was a two-time All-American and a Big Ten Champion. His wrestling accomplishments continued throughout his tenure at LHU where he became a two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion, a two-time Eastern Wrestling League champion, and a two-time NCAA Division I champion in 1996 and 1997. Overall, his college career record is an impressive 111-7 which includes 53 falls. At the international level, Kolat was a member of the Olympic Team in 2000 at Sydney, Australia. He is also a two-time Pan American Gold Medalist, three-time World Cup Gold Medalist, Goodwill Games Gold Medalist, three-time US Open Champion, three-time World Team Trials Champion, University National Freestyle Champion, and two-time Cadet National Champion. |
