2007 NCAA Division II East Regional Cross Country Championship
Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Services
November 2 & 3, 2007
Lock Haven University and the Athletic Training staff welcome you to our campus as the host of the 2007 NCAA Division II Regional Cross Country Championship. Lock Haven will provide on-site athletic training services throughout the championship event. Our staff will be happy to assist you and your student-athletes in any way possible. The Himes Rehabilitation Center will serve as the on-campus location for medical care and we will have a tent set up at the course for on-site medical care. All of the necessary items for rendering emergency care will be available at the course.
Special Note:
PA state law has recently changed; therefore the athletic training staff
is no longer permitted to use therapeutic modalities on athletes that are not
our own with the exception of ice and superficial heat. Student–athletes
requiring whirlpool treatments must present to the staff early enough to be
transported to campus. Any student-athlete requiring pre-event taping must
provide the necessary supplies (tape, wrap, etc.) so that we may render the
proper care.
Services:
Certified Athletic Trainers and athletic training students will be
available for taping, stretching, treatment, and evaluations; the hours are
listed below. A limited number of moist heat packs will be available at the
course. Cold and warm whirlpool treatments will be available on campus, if
they are required, please contact us to make prior arrangements.
Hours of Operation:
Athletic Trainers will be available at the course from 2:30-6:30pm on Friday, November 2nd, and from 9am-2pm on Saturday, November 3rd.
Thank-you for your cooperation and best wishes for a safe trip. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Steve Streator, ATC at (570)220-5671 (c) or (570)484-2294 (o).
