Building recognition for Lock Haven University is critical for attracting the highest quality of students, maintaining the best faculty and staff, solidifying strong community partnership, increasing alumni participation and activities, and reaching advancement goals. This is accomplished by determining the right messages for both internal and external audiences and developing marketing objectives, strategies and tactics to communicate effectively.
The University Relations Office of Lock Haven University acts as the liaison between the University and the news media to ensure accurate information is communicated both internally and externally. The Office also acts as the conduit for external organizations, business leaders, local, and state elected officials, and all community non-profits; building strong relationships and positioning the university as an important regional partner.
As the University’s marketing and publications resource, the office produces a variety of printed material, including the University’s Alumni publication-The Haven Magazine, printed brochures and collateral material. The office also prepares web and electronic publications and takes creative lead in the design and content management of the University’s website.
